This exquisite and delicate white tea is called winter gem as it is plucked from the 7000ft elevation of the mountains of Nilgiri in Tamil Nadu, before the sun rise when the tea leaves are covered with frost. This tea is only the buds of the tea trea processed very lightly, giving it an incredibly light and elegant flavor profile. Flavors of Indian mango, jasmine, and honey are subtle and sweet, and this is the best Indian tea we've ever had!
This tea is reminiscent of a small creek hidden in a fruit orchard, sparkling in the sunlight.
We recommend brewing this tea at 80°C for short steeps 1min to avoid strong astringency or bitterness while bringing out its natural flavors, and increasing brew time as you steep. All our teas can be steeped multiple times, so please enjoy your brew for as long as you want.
