Indian Breakfast Black Tea

This black tea originates from Assam, the Indian state most well known for its tea plantations as it produces more than half of India's tea. Grown near or at sea levels, this tea is incredibly bold, strong, and boasts classic flavor notes such as chocolate, malt, and a woody aroma. As a breakfast tea, it is meant to be accompanied by a meal and milk and sugar, and has a high caffeine content.

This tea is suitable for a warm morning getting ready for a busy day as it boosts your energy with its rich flavors!

If drinking alone, we recommend brewing this tea at 80°C for short steeps (45s - 1min) to avoid strong astringency or bitterness while bringing out its natural floral and malty flavors, and increasing brew time as you steep. However, if intending to mix with milk and sugar, you can increase the steeping time for more intensity. All our teas can be steeped multiple times, so please enjoy your brew for as long as you want.
