The varietal of this green tea from Mao Feng, Yunnan Province has larger leaves than usual. Due to this, the leaves were not rolled during processing and you can see its large leaves and buds unbroken, which creates a very floral and fresh flavor when brewed, along with a hint of umami. It has a very light and refreshing mouthfeel, perfect for a daily brew in the early morning.
The freshness of this tea reminds one of the first flower petals that bloom as winter ends, breaking through the buds as the weather warms.
As it is a green tea, we recommend brewing at 80°C for 30s-1min to bring out the light bouquet of floral flavors. In succeeding steeps, you can increase brew time. All our teas can be steeped multiple times, so please enjoy your brew for as long as you want.
